Zoom ACT Test Prep Services – Adjusting to the Coronavirus Crisis: Test Prep Classes Currently Online

 
For the time being, we are leading test prep sessions via the online platform Zoom. They are going to last as long and cost as much as our typical test prep sessions do.
 
Instead of working in a group setting, he or she will study from home. And instead of having a session with me me in person, he or she is going to do so online.
 
Sessions will continue to be scheduled the same way at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
 
When students schedule their appointments all the details needed to access the Zoom meeting will be sent along with the confirmation notifications.
 
If practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and then reviewed in our test prep sessions.
 
You are going to be invoiced via e-mail.
 
This too shall pass hopefully sooner than later. Meanwhile, stay safe and calm amidst the chaos.

Unfortunately for me, I  am one of those people who do practice tests perfectly but score badly on actual tests. I just get jitters whenever I get to the testing room. Micheal realized this after my diagnostic test and recommended I meditate before taking the SAT or ACT. I was apprehensive during our practice sessions but I diligently practiced meditation at home. Finally, when it got to testing day I was unusually calm. Never beforehand was I that tranquil before taking a test, normally my heart pounds, my hands get sweaty, and I can’t think. On that day I felt as if everything was a walk in the park, everything came to me and nothing felt rushed. In the end, I was able to score a 35 on the ACT stress-free. What also helped my nervousness was Michael testing room. It was a perfect place to practice the SAT and ACT: full of students, quiet, and distraction free. It allowed me to simulate how it would feel like in a testing center without the hassle of going to one. In all, without Michael I probably wouldn’t have gotten the score that I got.

All our free trial sessions and test prep classes are now held online.
 
For the trial session, we will be connecting using the online platform Zoom.
 
The student will require a silent place where he or she can work for two hours without getting interrupted.
 
Once you register for a free trial session, all the details needed for accessing the Zoom meeting will be provided.
 
I am going to be in contact within the first 15 minutes of our trial session.

A parent and I will have a follow-up call to discuss my test prep suggestions.
 
If the trial session is on a Saturday, I will contact you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. His tricks to make sure I didn’t make any “silly” mistakes even increased my scores to near-perfection in the subjects that I was stronger in – reading, writing, and English! Additionally, the group testing environment was insanely helpful in practicing what to expect during test day. Mr. Test Prep’s unpredictable outbursts of songs and people’s sneezing and coughing inevitably allowed me to block out the irrelevant and focus on the test. I also still do his meditations today before a big event or test! Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
