In March 2020, we switched our test prep classes to an online format and we have noticed that our results have been much better since. Because of that, test prep sessions continue to be offered via the online platform Zoom. Continue reading to learn more about how our online test prep sessions work.
 

Online test prep classes – How is an online test prep session different?

  • During the online classes, the student does not study within a group, but the student studies from home. The student will not sit with me in person; rather, he or she will connect with me using the online platform Zoom.
  • Online sessions will be scheduled at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • The Zoom meeting information will be sent along with your scheduled appointment confirmation emails.
  • If practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and then reviewed in the test prep sessions.
  • You will be invoiced through email.

Online Test Prep Trial Sessions
 
The free trial sessions are held online, as well.
 
Once you have scheduled a trial session, we will be meeting via the online platform Zoom.
 
In order to get the most out of the trial session, it is best for the student to be able to work uninterrupted for two hours.
 
Once you book your free trial session, the Zoom meeting details will be sent along with your confirmation email.
 
I will be present for the first 15 minutes of the session.
 

 
What Happens After The Trial Session?
 
After the trial session, a parent and I will have a follow-up discussion about my test prep suggestions.
 
If your trial session is on a Saturday, I am going to call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. In case your trial session takes place on Sunday, I am going to call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT.
