Since we switched our test prep classes to an online format in March 2020, we have seen our best results. Because of that, test prep sessions continue to be conducted online using Zoom. To find out more about how our online format works please continue reading.
 

Online test prep sessions – What is different compared to in-person classes?

  • Instead of doing work in a group setting, he or she studies from home. And instead of having a session with me me in person, he or she will do so virtually.
  • Online sessions will continue to be scheduled at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • The Zoom link and instructions will be sent along with your appointment confirmation emails.
  • If practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and assessed during our test prep sessions.
  • You are going to be billed through email.

I was very opposed to taking the SAT and enrolling in SAT prep when I learned that it was optional for college admissions. I was more comfortable asserting myself as a low performer, and just not great with long form tests. However, a few sessions in, it was obvious that Michael wasn’t there just to gruel me on facts and figures for 2 hours straight. We went through the questions one by one, correcting those I got wrong and investigating why. He led tailored meditation sessions that helped me hone my focus for hours on end. Online Trial Sessions
 
Our free trial sessions are also conducted online.
 
For the trial session, we will be connecting online via Zoom.
 
It is best, if the student can remain undisturbed for the duration of the two hour trial session.
 
When you book your free trial session, all the information needed for the Zoom meeting will be provided.
 
I am going to be present for the first 15 minutes of the session.
 

 
After The Trial Session
 
I will connect with a parent and will talk about my test prep recommendations during a follow-up call.
 
If the trial session is on Saturday, I will contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. In case your trial session takes place on a Sunday, I will contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
