Since we switched our test prep classes to an online format in March 2020, we have noticed that our results have been much better. Because of that, we continue to lead ACT and SAT test prep classes using the online platform Zoom. For more information about how our online test prep sessions work please read below.
 

Online test prep sessions – How are online classes different?

  • During the online classes, the student does not study in groups, but each student studies from home. Instead of meeting me in person, he or she is going to do so virtually.
  • Online sessions are being scheduled the same way at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • The Zoom link and instructions will be sent along with the appointment confirmation emails.
  • When recommended practice tests will be taken at home and then reviewed in our test prep classes.
  • You are going to be billed via email.

When you imagine a test prep tutor, what kind of person do you think of?
I’m the type of person who never worked well with adults who tried to push me or made me feel stupid, and that’s why I was really reluctant to try SAT prep.
But Michael Romano surprised me by defying the stereotype of the traditional harsh, nitpicky tutor time and time again. He never forces students to study or do homework assignments, and because he did not, I felt genuinely inspired to put in the effort on my own behalf. Rather than someone else driving my progress, I felt as though I held the reigns to my own improvement on the SAT.

What Happens After The Trial Session?

In case your trial session takes place on a Saturday, I will call the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if your trial session is on Sunday, I will call the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
