In March 2020, we had to switch our test prep sessions to an online format and we have seen our best results since. Because of that, test prep sessions continue to be offered via the online platform Zoom. To find out more about how our online test prep classes are structured please continue reading.
 

Online test prep sessions – How is the online session different?

  • Instead of working within a group, he or she studies from home. And instead of having a session with me me in person, he or she is going to do so virtually.
  • Students will be able to schedule online sessions at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • Your scheduled online ACT/SAT test prep appointment confirmation notifications are going to have the Zoom link and instructions.
  • When recommended practice tests will be taken at home and then reviewed in our test prep sessions.
  • You are going to be invoiced via email.

Unfortunately for me, I am one of those people who do practice tests perfectly but score badly on actual tests. I just get jitters whenever I get to the testing room. Micheal realized this after my diagnostic test and recommended I meditate before taking the SAT or ACT. I was apprehensive during our practice sessions but I diligently practiced meditation at home. Finally, when it got to testing day I was unusually calm. Never beforehand was I that tranquil before taking a test, normally my heart pounds, my hands get sweaty, and I can’t think. On that day I felt as if everything was a walk in the park, everything came to me and nothing felt rushed. In the end, I was able to score a 35 on the ACT stress-free. What also helped my nervousness was Michael testing room. It was a perfect place to practice the SAT and ACT: full of students, quiet, and distraction free. It allowed me to simulate how it would feel like in a testing center without the hassle of going to one. In all, without Michael I probably wouldn’t have gotten the score that I got.

For the trial session, we will be connecting online via Zoom.
 
Each student will require a silent place where he or she can work for two hours without being disturbed.
 
When you book your free trial session, all the info needed for the Zoom meeting will be provided.
 
I will be in contact within the first 15 minutes of our session.
 

 
After The Trial Session
 
I will be in touch with a parent and will talk about my test prep recommendations during a follow-up call.
 
In case your trial session is on Saturday, I am going to contact you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if your trial session takes place on Sunday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is the best tutor I have ever worked with… EVER!! I had gone to previous SAT prep centers, but none of them gave me the help and results that Mr. Romano did! Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
