In March 2020, we switched our test prep sessions to an online format and we have noticed that our results have been much better since. Because of that, test prep classes continue to be held using the online platform Zoom. Continue reading to learn more about how our online test prep sessions work.
 

Online test prep classes – How are online sessions different?

  • During the online classes, the student does not study within a group, but he or she studies from home. Instead of sitting with me in the same room, he or she will meet with me via the online platform Zoom.
  • Online sessions are being scheduled the same way at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • The online ACT/SAT test prep appointment confirmation notices are going to have the Zoom link and instructions.
  • When practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and then evaluated in our test prep sessions.
  • You are going to be billed through email.

The free trial sessions are also held online.
 
Once you have booked a trial session, we will be meeting online via Zoom.
 
To get the most out of the trial session, it is best, if the student can remain undisturbed for the duration of the two hour trial session.
 
Once you sign up for a free trial session, the Zoom link and instructions will be provided in your confirmation email.
 
I will be present for the first 15 minutes of the session.

I will get in touch with a parent and will talk about my test prep assessment and recommendations in a follow-up call.
 
If the trial session takes place on a Saturday, I will contact you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. If the trial session is on a Sunday, I am going to contact you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. His tricks to make sure I didn’t make any “silly” mistakes even increased my scores to near-perfection in the subjects that I was stronger in – reading, writing, and English! Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
