Since we had to switch our test prep sessions to an online format in March 2020, we have noticed that our results have been much better. Because of that, we continue to offer SAT and ACT test prep classes online through Zoom. Following you will find more information about how our online format is structured.
 

Online test prep classes – How are online sessions different?

  • Instead of studying in a group setting, he or she studies from home. Instead of sitting together with me in person, he or she will meet with me online.
  • Online sessions are being scheduled the same way at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • The Zoom meeting info will be included in the appointment confirmation notices.
  • If practice tests are recommended, they will be taken from your home and then assessed during the test prep sessions.
  • You will be invoiced via e-mail.

When you imagine a test prep tutor, what kind of person do you think of?
I’m the type of person who never worked well with adults who tried to push me or made me feel stupid, and that’s why I was really reluctant to try SAT prep.
But Michael Romano surprised me by defying the stereotype of the traditional harsh, nitpicky tutor time and time again. He never forces students to study or do homework assignments, and because he did not, I felt genuinely inspired to put in the effort on my own behalf. Rather than someone else driving my progress, I felt as though I held the reigns to my own improvement on the SAT.

To be able to get the most out of the trial session, it is best, if the student can stay undisturbed for two hours.
 
Once you book a free trial session, the Zoom meeting information will be included in your confirmation notification.

After the trial session, I will be in touch with a parent and will talk about my test prep suggestions.
 
If the trial session takes place on a Saturday, I am going to contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. If your trial session takes place on a Sunday, I am going to call the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
