We have seen our best test prep results since we had to switch to an online format in March 2020. Because of that, we continue to lead ACT and SAT test prep classes via the online platform Zoom. Following you will find more information about how our online test prep sessions are structured.
 

Online test prep sessions – What’s different compared to in-person classes?

  • Instead of studying in a group setting, he or she works from home. Instead of sitting with me in the same room, the student will connect with me via the online platform Zoom.
  • Online sessions are being scheduled at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • Your scheduled online SAT/ACT test prep appointment confirmation notices will have all the information you will need for accessing the Zoom meeting.
  • When needed practice tests will be taken at home and reviewed during the test prep sessions.
  • You will be billed via email.

I was very opposed to taking the SAT and enrolling in SAT prep when I learned that it was optional for college admissions. I was more comfortable asserting myself as a low performer, and just not great with long form tests. Once someone has booked a trial session, we will be meeting online via Zoom.
 
To get the most out of the trial session, each student will require a place to work where he or she will stay uninterrupted for two hours.
 
When you sign up for a free trial session, the Zoom link and instructions will be provided.
 
I am going to be present for the first 15 minutes of the session.
 

 
After The Trial Session
 
A parent and I will have a follow-up discussion about my test prep assessment and recommendations.
 
In case your trial session is on a Saturday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if the trial session is on Sunday, I am going to call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
