Since we had to switch our test prep sessions to an online format in March 2020, we have seen our best results. Because of that, test prep classes continue to be conducted online via Zoom. For more information about how our online format works please read below.
 

Online test prep classes – How is an online test prep session different?

  • During the online classes, he or she works from home, as opposed to doing work within a group. Instead of sitting together with me in the same room, he or she will connect with me through the online platform Zoom.
  • Online sessions are being scheduled the same way at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • When you schedule your appointments all the info needed to access the Zoom meeting will be sent along with the confirmation emails.
  • If it is time for a practice test, it will be taken from your home and reviewed in the test prep sessions.
  • You are going to be invoiced through email.

When you imagine a test prep tutor, what kind of person do you think of?
I’m the type of person who never worked well with adults who tried to push me or made me feel stupid, and that’s why I was really reluctant to try SAT prep.
But Michael Romano surprised me by defying the stereotype of the traditional harsh, nitpicky tutor time and time again. He never forces students to study or do homework assignments, and because he did not, I felt genuinely inspired to put in the effort on my own behalf. Rather than someone else driving my progress, I felt as though I held the reigns to my own improvement on the SAT.

Online Test Prep Trial Sessions
 
We are also holding our free trial sessions online.
 
For the trial session, we will be meeting through the online platform Zoom.
 
It is best, if the student can remain uninterrupted for two hours.
 
Once you sign up for a free trial session, the Zoom link and instructions will be provided.
 
I will be present for the first 15 minutes of our trial session.
 

 
What Happens After The Trial Session?
 
I will connect with a parent and will talk about my test prep suggestions in a follow-up call.
 
If your trial session is on Saturday, I am going to call the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if your trial session takes place on a Sunday, I am going to call the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
