Online test prep sessions – What’s different compared to in-person classes?

  • During the online classes, he or she studies from home, as opposed to studying within a group. And instead of sitting together with me in the same room, the student will meet with me using the online platform Zoom.
  • Online sessions are being scheduled the same way at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • The Zoom meeting details will be sent along with the appointment confirmation notifications.
  • If practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and assessed during our test prep classes.
  • You are going to be billed via email.

When you imagine a test prep tutor, what kind of person do you think of?
I’m the type of person who never worked well with adults who tried to push me or made me feel stupid, and that’s why I was really reluctant to try SAT prep.
But Michael Romano surprised me by defying the stereotype of the traditional harsh, nitpicky tutor time and time again. He never forces students to study or do homework assignments, and because he did not, I felt genuinely inspired to put in the effort on my own behalf. Rather than someone else driving my progress, I felt as though I held the reigns to my own improvement on the SAT.

Free Online Test Prep Trial Sessions
 
We are also conducting our free trial sessions online.
 
For the trial session, we will be connecting online using Zoom.
 
To get the most out of the trial session, each student will require a place to work where he or she can remain undisturbed for two hours.
 
Once you register for your free trial session, the Zoom link and instructions will be provided.
 
I am going to be present for the first 15 minutes of the trial session.
 

 
What Happens After The Trial Session?
 
After the trial session, a parent and I will have a follow-up call to talk about my test prep recommendations.
 
If your trial session is on a Saturday, I will call the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. In case your trial session is on a Sunday, I am going to contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT.
