One-On-One Zoom ACT Test Prep Courses – Adjusting to the COVID-19 Pandemic: Test Prep Classes Currently Online

 
Until further notice, test prep classes are conducted through the online platform Zoom. The length and the cost of the online test prep sessions will be the same as the regular in-person test prep classes.
 
Now, the student will not study in groups, but the student will work from home. And instead of having a session with me me in person, he or she will do so online.
 
Students can still schedule a session the same way like before at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
 
Your scheduled online SAT/ACT test prep appointment confirmation notifications will have the Zoom meeting details.
 
If practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and evaluated in our test prep sessions.
 
You are going to be invoiced through email.
 
This too shall pass hopefully sooner than later. In the meanwhile, stay safe and calm in the midst of the chaos.

When you imagine a test prep tutor, what kind of person do you think of?
I’m the type of person who never worked well with adults who tried to push me or made me feel stupid, and that’s why I was really reluctant to try SAT prep.
But Michael Romano surprised me by defying the stereotype of the traditional harsh, nitpicky tutor time and time again. He never forces students to study or do homework assignments, and because he did not, I felt genuinely inspired to put in the effort on my own behalf. Rather than someone else driving my progress, I felt as though I held the reigns to my own improvement on the SAT.
I won’t talk about how Michael comes up with neat strategies for the trickiest of math and reading problems, how he’s an endlessly patient teacher, or how he made every seemingly impossible question look easy and conquerable. Trial Sessions in the Coronavirus Pandemic
 
We are currently conducting all our free trial sessions and test prep online.
 
Once someone has scheduled a trial session, we will be connecting online via Zoom.
 
To get the most out of the trial session, the student will require a place to work where he or she can stay uninterrupted for two hours.
 
When you register for a free trial session, the Zoom meeting information will be sent along with your confirmation notification.
 
I am going to be present for the first 15 minutes of the session.
 

 
Next Step After The Trial Session
 
A parent and I will have a follow-up discussion about my test prep assessment and recommendations.
 
If your trial session takes place on Saturday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And in case your trial session is on a Sunday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.|If the trial session takes place on a Saturday, I am going to contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. Mr. Romano is the best tutor I have ever worked with… EVER!! I had gone to previous SAT prep centers, but none of them gave me the help and results that Mr. Romano did! One thing that was different with Mr. Romano, was that I actually enjoyed attending his test preps, and would even look forward to them!! Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. His tricks to make sure I didn’t make any “silly” mistakes even increased my scores to near-perfection in the subjects that I was stronger in – reading, writing, and English! Additionally, the group testing environment was insanely helpful in practicing what to expect during test day. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
