1-On-1 Online ACT Test Prep Programs – Adjusting to the Coronavirus Crisis: Test Prep Sessions Now Online

 
Test prep classes are currently held online via Zoom. The length and the cost of the online test prep classes will be the same as the regular in-person test prep classes.
 
Now, he or she will study from home, as opposed to doing work within a group. Instead of meeting with me in person, he or she is going to do so virtually.
 
Students are still able to schedule a session the same way like before at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
 
When you schedule your appointments the Zoom meeting info will be provided in the confirmation emails.
 
When practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and then reviewed in our test prep sessions.
 
You are going to be billed through e-mail.
 
This too shall pass hopefully sooner than later. For now, stay safe and calm amidst the chaos.

Michael’s methodology is unlike any other tutor I’ve worked with before, and the results I got with him were unmatchable. The group setting allowed me to go back and forth between working on my own just like a testing setting AND breaking down my sections while they’re fresh in my mind. While many other tutors believe in using homework as a studying tool, whenever I would attend my next session with them,  I couldn’t remember why I chose the answers I did. By confining my work to my sessions with Michael, I was able to evaluate my thought process for each answer and correct my mistakes MUCH more efficiently.
 
Rather than most tutor’s standard lesson plan (even for one on one sessions), Michael tailors each session to what that individual student needs. My best sections were tested less frequently, and more time was spent on the sections I struggled with.
 
Michael understands the interplay between testing and his student’s mindset. As someone who struggles with anxiety, I have had extreme difficulty performing well on exams even when I know the material front to back. After two meditation sessions, I meditated every morning and night about a week preceding each of my SAT exams (as well as actually during my SAT) I felt less anxious, more at ease and extremely more confident.
 
What it boils down to is Michael truly understands his students and creates a relationship and bond with them like NO other tutor. He creates a completely safe space where mistakes aren’t scrutinized, they’re looked at as a place to improve. I improved my SAT score by about 350, but, beyond that, I can look back at my sessions with him and only have positive memories. Going to Michael was one of the best decisions I made. All our free trial sessions and test prep sessions are currently held online.
 
For the trial session, we will be meeting online using Zoom.
 
The student is going to need a place to work where he or she can remain undisturbed for two hours.
 
Once you book your free trial session, the Zoom link and instructions will be provided.
 
I will be in touch within the first 15 minutes of the session.
 

 
Follow-Up After The Trial Session
 
After the trial session, I will get in touch with a parent and will discuss my test prep proposal.
 
In case your trial session takes place on Saturday, I am going to contact you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if your trial session takes place on Sunday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.|If the trial session takes place on a Saturday, I am going to contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. His tricks to make sure I didn’t make any “silly” mistakes even increased my scores to near-perfection in the subjects that I was stronger in – reading, writing, and English! Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
