Online Private ACT Test Prep Tutoring – Adjusting to the Coronavirus Crisis: Test Prep Sessions Now Moving Online

 
Test prep sessions are now conducted online via Zoom. They are going to last as long and cost the same as our usual in-person test prep sessions do.
 
Instead of working in a group setting, each student will study from home. And instead of meeting with me in person, he or she will do so online.
 
Sessions will continue to be scheduled the same way at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
 
The online ACT/SAT test prep appointment confirmation notifications will have the Zoom link and instructions.
 
When recommended practice tests will be taken at home and then evaluated in our test prep sessions.
 
You will be billed through e-mail.
 
This too shall pass hopefully sooner than later. Meanwhile, be safe and calm amidst the chaos.

When you imagine a test prep tutor, what kind of person do you think of?
I’m the type of person who never worked well with adults who tried to push me or made me feel stupid, and that’s why I was really reluctant to try SAT prep.
But Michael Romano surprised me by defying the stereotype of the traditional harsh, nitpicky tutor time and time again. He never forces students to study or do homework assignments, and because he did not, I felt genuinely inspired to put in the effort on my own behalf. Rather than someone else driving my progress, I felt as though I held the reigns to my own improvement on the SAT.
I won’t talk about how Michael comes up with neat strategies for the trickiest of math and reading problems, how he’s an endlessly patient teacher, or how he made every seemingly impossible question look easy and conquerable. Test Prep Sessions Currently Online During the COVID-19 Crisis
 
For the time being, all our free trial sessions and test prep classes are conducted online.
 
Once you have scheduled a trial session, we will be meeting online using Zoom.
 
To be able to get the most out of the trial session, it is best, if the student can stay uninterrupted for two hours.
 
When you book a free trial session, the Zoom link and instructions will be provided.
 
I am going to be present for the first 15 minutes of our session.

After the trial session, a parent and I will have a follow-up discussion about my test prep suggestions.
 
In case your trial session is on a Saturday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if the trial session is on Sunday, I am going to call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.|If the trial session is on a Saturday, I will contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. If the trial session takes place on Sunday, I will call the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is the best tutor I have ever worked with… EVER!! I had gone to previous SAT prep centers, but none of them gave me the help and results that Mr. Romano did! Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
