Private Zoom ACT Test Prep Tutors – Adjusting to the COVID-19 Pandemic: Test Prep Classes Now Moving Online

 
Test prep classes are now held online using Zoom. They are going to last as long and cost as much as our in-person test prep sessions do.
 
Now, the student will not study in groups, but each student will study from home. The student is not going to sit with me in person; instead, he or she will meet with me via the online platform Zoom.
 
Students will still be able to schedule sessions the same way as before at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
 
The online SAT/ACT test prep appointment confirmation notices are going to have all the details you will need for accessing the Zoom meeting.
 
Whenever it is time for a practice test, it will be taken from your home and evaluated in our test prep sessions.
 
You will be invoiced through e-mail.
 
This too shall pass hopefully sooner than later. In the meanwhile, stay safe and calm amidst these unprecedented times.

When you imagine a test prep tutor, what kind of person do you think of?
I’m the type of person who never worked well with adults who tried to push me or made me feel stupid, and that’s why I was really reluctant to try SAT prep.
But Michael Romano surprised me by defying the stereotype of the traditional harsh, nitpicky tutor time and time again. He never forces students to study or do homework assignments, and because he did not, I felt genuinely inspired to put in the effort on my own behalf. Rather than someone else driving my progress, I felt as though I held the reigns to my own improvement on the SAT.
I won’t talk about how Michael comes up with neat strategies for the trickiest of math and reading problems, how he’s an endlessly patient teacher, or how he made every seemingly impossible question look easy and conquerable. He did all of these things. But I think what truly makes Michael special is the effort he puts into each relationship with his students. He’s always positive, he always makes you feel that you are smart and capable of accomplishing things.

As a high school student, it’s pretty common to get extremely stressed out about standardized testing. But “stressed” is the last word I would ever use to describe Michael’s personality. Trial Sessions in the Coronavirus Pandemic
 
All our free trial sessions and test prep sessions are currently conducted online.
 
Once you have booked a trial session, we will be meeting using the online platform Zoom.
 
To get the most out of the trial session, it is best for the student to remain uninterrupted for two hours.
 
Once you register for your free trial session, the Zoom link and instructions will be provided.
 
I will be in touch within the first 15 minutes of our trial session.
 

 
After The Trial Session
 
After the trial session, I will be in touch with a parent and will discuss my test prep proposal.
 
If the trial session is on a Saturday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if the trial session is on Sunday, I am going to contact you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.|If the trial session takes place on Saturday, I am going to contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. And if your trial session takes place on a Sunday, I am going to contact the parent between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is the best tutor I have ever worked with… EVER!! I had gone to previous SAT prep centers, but none of them gave me the help and results that Mr. Romano did! One thing that was different with Mr. Romano, was that I actually enjoyed attending his test preps, and would even look forward to them!! Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. His tricks to make sure I didn’t make any “silly” mistakes even increased my scores to near-perfection in the subjects that I was stronger in – reading, writing, and English! Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
