SAT, ACT & PSAT Test Prep Tutoring
All Mr. Test Prep programs combine the best of one-on-one and group tutoring — proven to be his most effective format.
SAT Prep
SAT prep built around your student’s specific strengths and gaps. The Digital SAT rewards students who think methodically under time pressure — Mr. Test Prep’s approach builds the strategy and consistency that produce score gains.
ACT Prep
ACT prep adapted to how your student thinks and performs under pressure. The ACT rewards speed and accuracy — Mr. Test Prep’s method trains exactly that: faster decisions, fewer mistakes, higher scores.
PSAT Prep
Personalized PSAT prep that builds the habits and strategy that carry into the SAT — and targets the scores that open the door to National Merit scholarships.
SAT or ACT: Which Test Should Your Student Take?
Both tests are accepted by every major US college. Neither is harder than the other — they reward different strengths. Choosing the right test is one of the most important early decisions in test prep.
Choose the SAT if your student:
- Is stronger in math with extended time per question
- Prefers a two-section structure (Reading/Writing and Math)
- Tends to work more carefully than quickly
Choose the ACT if your student:
- Works quickly and is comfortable with a faster pace
- Has solid science reasoning skills or likes data interpretation
- Prefers a four-section structure with more questions per section

Why and when should you take the PSAT?
The PSAT is separate from the SAT/ACT choice. It is taken earlier — typically in 10th or 11th grade — and serves two purposes: it is an early performance indicator, and high scores qualify students for National Merit recognition. PSAT preparation is worthwhile independent of which test your student ultimately takes.
