We have seen our best test prep results since we had to switch to an online format in March 2020. Because of that, we continue to hold SAT and ACT test prep sessions through the online platform Zoom. Below you will find more information about how our online format works.
 

Online test prep sessions – How is the online session different?

  • During the online classes, the student works from home, as opposed to working in a group setting. The student will not sit with me in person; rather, he or she will meet with me online.
  • Students will be able to schedule online sessions at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
  • The online ACT/SAT test prep appointment confirmation emails are going to have all the details you will need to access the Zoom meeting.
  • If practice tests are recommended, they will be taken from your home and assessed in our test prep sessions.
  • You will be invoiced via email.

Our free trial sessions are also held online.
 
Once you have booked a trial session, we will be meeting using the online platform Zoom.
 
Each student will require a quiet place where he or she can work for two hours without getting interrupted.
 
When you book your free trial session, the Zoom meeting details will be included in your confirmation email.
 
I am going to be present for the first 15 minutes of our trial session.
 

 
After The Trial Session
 
A parent and I will have a follow-up call to discuss my test prep assessment and recommendations.
 
In case your trial session is on Saturday, I will contact you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Monday. In case your trial session is on Sunday, I will call you between 6 pm and 8 pm on the following Tuesday.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. Many of my friends had gone to him and raved about how his tutoring style is unique, effective, and definitely worth the money. They all succeeded in their standardized test preps, why shouldn’t I?
I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Let me break ‘em down for you…” Ever since then, the ACT has not intimidated me with the daunting math and science sections. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT. I tried my hand at that instead, and scored significantly higher. Mr Test Prep also helped me prepare for the PSAT, and now I am a National Merit Scholar.
