When you are paying for your student’s tutoring, you want some guarantee that the tutoring will help your student excel. Before you sign up for an extensive tutoring or test prep program find out what their guarantee includes. Here are six steps for the perfect tutoring guarantee.

An Evaluation

A tutoring program should be suited to your student’s needs. A one size fits all program is likely to result in too many or too few sessions. A tutoring program that evaluates your students needs and sets appropriate goals is more likely to be satisfactory for you and your student.

2) No Contingencies

A guarantee shouldn’t be contingent on your student doing a certain amount of homework. A guarantee should help your student reach their goals using methods that are manageable for them. One on one time addressing problem areas is more likely to boost confidence than hours of homework that are impossible to accomplish.

3) No Limits

A test prep guarantee should provide the help your student needs to reach their goals without a limited number of sessions. The guarantee should ensure that your student will get the help they need without you reaching too deep into your wallet.

4) No Minimums

If your student doesn’t need 20 sessions to reach their goals, you shouldn’t have to pay for them. A guarantee should ensure that you won’t be penalized when your student achieves their desired test score with fewer test prep sessions than expected.

Mr. Romano is simply the best. Upon entering Mr. Romano’s test prep, I knew little about the SAT. The knowledge and wisdom that I inherited from Michael is truly priceless. I had gone to over three different standardized testing tutors in the Bay Area since my freshman year. All left me unsatisfied, with mediocre results and my mother constantly reprimanding me for spending so much money on multiple exams and different tutors. On a whim, we tried Mr. Test Prep. I can clearly remember Mr. Test Prep’s response when I said, “I’m no good at math and science.” He said, “Don’t think that way! These questions are easy if you think of them as easy. Michael Romano is the best. No exceptions. My first experience with SAT prep was with a not-so-great company, so I was at first reluctant to try Mr Test Prep. Boy, was I wrong — I should have started with him from the beginning! In the first half hour of the trial session he told me that I was probably better suited for the ACT.
