You never have time to study. You are busy running from one thing to the next and it can feel impossible to find any time to study. The good news is that you don’t have to be at home sitting at a desk to study. You can squeeze in a few minutes of study anywhere.

Flash Cards

Carry flash cards with you everywhere you go. You can even use an app to put them on your phone so they are always handy. If you are waiting for a ride, ready early for sports practice, or got off of your shift at work a few minutes early, you can pull out your flash cards. It only takes a few minutes to go over them.

Teach in The Car

We all spend time in the car, on our way to school, work, or just to hang out with friends. Use the time to teach the material you are studying. You can teach it to a friend, your little brother, or your parents. Hearing the material out loud will help you engage with it in a new way. If you can help someone else understand it and answer their questions, you have mastered the concept.

One Practice Problem

A long study session can be overwhelming to fit in, but one practice problem is manageable. Make a plan to do one practice problem every night after dinner, or wake up early and do one before school. It only takes a minute and when you get in the habit, working on a practice problem every day will help you feel prepared in the long run. If you are studying for the SAT, the College Board even has an app that will give you one practice problem every day.

Take Advantage of Every Minute

Think outside the box when it comes to studying. If you are prepared to seize every moment that comes your way, you will find plenty of time to practice and study. You may even find you have more free time, because you won’t need to study as much at home. Be prepared to take advantage of every extra minute you have so you won’t feel stressed about getting ready for an exam.
