Test prep sessions are now conducted via the online platform Zoom. They are going to last as long as our in-person test prep sessions and are also going to cost the same.
Now, the student will not work in groups, but he or she will study from home. The student will not sit with me in person; rather, he or she will connect with me online.
Sessions are still being scheduled at http://www.mrtestprep.acuityscheduling.com
When you schedule your appointments all the information needed for accessing the Zoom meeting will be sent along with the confirmation notices.
When practice tests are recommended, they will be taken at home and evaluated in the test prep classes.
You are going to be invoiced via email.
This too shall pass hopefully sooner than later. In the meantime, be safe and calm amid the chaos.
I took the PSAT in 10th and 11th grade and found it utterly awful. I’ve never been a big fan of standardized tests, but I knew I’d have to take either the ACT or SAT in college. I was nervous about them because I didn’t score as well on the PSAT as I hoped. In 11th grade, I actually did worse on the PSAT than I did in 10th grade. I thought that this was a clear indicator that I would fail the SAT/ACT and wouldn’t get into a college that I loved. I started with Michael after a recommendation from my college counselor. I appreciated his unorthodox approach, but his encouragement sets Mr. Test Prep apart from other testing organizations. No other company has a Michael, so to speak. Of course, he taught me how to understand the structure of SAT questions, recognize patterns, and learn proper testing strategies. This all helped my score improve exponentially (around 400 points from 11th grade PSAT), but I benefitted the most from his confidence in me. Many of Michael’s students could tell you about how skilled he is at connecting with others, and I think that they would agree that his faith went a long way in convincing them that they actually could do well. In the end, I was accepted to my dream school, Claremont McKenna College. Very happy with the results and grateful to Michael for all his wisdom!

Unfortunately for me, I am one of those people who do practice tests perfectly but score badly on actual tests. I just get jitters whenever I get to the testing room. Micheal realized this after my diagnostic test and recommended I meditate before taking the SAT or ACT. I was apprehensive during our practice sessions but I diligently practiced meditation at home. Finally, when it got to testing day I was unusually calm. Never beforehand was I that tranquil before taking a test, normally my heart pounds, my hands get sweaty, and I can’t think. On that day I felt as if everything was a walk in the park, everything came to me and nothing felt rushed. In the end, I was able to score a 35 on the ACT stress-free. What also helped my nervousness was Michael testing room. It was a perfect place to practice the SAT and ACT: full of students, quiet, and distraction free. It allowed me to simulate how it would feel like in a testing center without the hassle of going to one. In all, without Michael I probably wouldn’t have gotten the score that I got.

I stand behind the fact that the Mr. Test Prep program can assist almost any student improve their scores to the level he or she is looking for. I am so convinced that I provide my students with a score satisfaction guarantee, which allows them to continue to attend Mr. Test Prep, without any additional costs, in case they aren’t entirely satisfied with the final results.
