How The Best Students Study For Classes And ACT | SAT exams

SAT Exam Tutorials Santa Clara CAStudents that are consistently performing well know the best methods for studying and preparing for their ACT | SAT exams and coursework. It is wise to look to these students to discover great study habits. On Quora, students and professors at top universities offered their most useful study habits. Here are some of the study habits these students have developed and suggest for others.

1) Don’t Cram

Cramming may help you do well on an exam in your first or second year of college, but it is not a sustainable practice. It can help you remember facts to pass a test the next day, but it does not build the foundation you need to perform well in more advanced coursework. If you don’t really learn the material, you won’t be able to understand more in depth subjects that require the recollection of more basic coursework. Instead of cramming, learn the material in small chunks every day. Set aside daily time to review notes and go over reading material long before the day of the exam. Then you can review the day before the exam rather than learn all of the material in a single night.

2) Pursue Your Interests

If you go above and beyond your coursework in the areas you are interested in studying, you are likely to encounter material that will show up in your coursework. When you have seen material before, it won’t be intimidating when it is first introduced in class. Reading and writing beyond what is required of you or shadowing a professional in your field of study can make preparing for your classes much easier.

3) Learn With Others

You can benefit from sharing your knowledge with others even if you are in a competitive program. When you help fellow students understand a concept you know well, they will be willing to help you in return. You will also be developing an excellent network of colleagues and friends that will be invaluable in your career after college. Learning with others will help you perform well and improve your ability to work with others, which is essential in any field. Smart people look to others who have been successful in the past. Developing these productive habits discovered by other successful students will help you perform well in your courses and on major exams.
